Resumo
Este artigo é resultado da pesquisa “A irrupção do rosto entre metáforas. Expressão do infinito no outro”. O objetivo da pesquisa foi compreender os significados de alteridade que estudantes de literatura inglesa atribuem a personagens literárias que encarnam realidades em estado de vulnerabilidade por meio da metáfora como alteridade radical do Outro. Trata-se, portanto, de uma sobreposição entre diferentes campos: por um lado, um pretexto curricular: o curso de literatura inglesa; por outro lado, a ruptura do campo estritamente disciplinar, para considerar a literatura como um detonador de experiências de alteridade; finalmente, uma concepção original da metáfora como alteridade radical.
