Resumen
Este artículo es resultado de la investigación “La irrupción del rostro entre metáforas. Expresión del infinito en el Otro”. El objetivo de la investigación fue comprender los sentidos de alteridad que otorgan los estudiantes de literatura en inglés a personajes literarios que encarnan realidades en estado de vulnerabilidad a través de la metáfora como alteridad radical del Otro. Se trata, entonces, de una imbricación entre diferentes ámbitos: por un lado, un pretexto curricular: la cátedra de literatura en inglés; por otro, la ruptura del ámbito estrictamente disciplinar para considerar la literatura como un detonador de vivencias de alteridad; finalmente, una concepción original de metáfora como alteridad radical.
