Abstract

This article corresponds to the results of systematic literature reviews whose objective was to demonstrate the theoretical and practical status, advances and trends of the Theory of Cognitive Structural Modifiability (CSM) by Reuven Feuerstein in Latin America and the Caribbean between the years 2008 and 2018. The work was guided by a descriptive theoretical methodology of documentary type. As results, the components of the theory that were applied in that period in various contexts and intervention scenarios are presented as well as controversial aspects of the applicability of said theory, evidencing critical points and research trends that have favored or hindered the applicability of said theory in Latin America and the Caribbean.
