Abstract

This paper presents the process of improving the model captures “Color patterns” called in 1997, which was registered in the project Color patterns (Gómez et al., 1997). As a reengineering process. This article presents aspects of capture and registration update in line with new color evaluation processes, which result in a new model of capture. Unlike “Color patterns” we consider the capture and interpretation of technical variables, to be linked to methodological strategies in the construction and development of design products. The result will be useful not only in the cultural but commercial and industrial context. Our model capture color evaluation was conducted with a large volume of information, both qualitative and quantitative. The revision of the initial models implemented in different educational settings, with subjects Integral design and Chromaticism, Visual Design program, taking as central reference the topic “posters and packaging development”. These experiences allowed focus, describe and diagnose the viability of the captive model and the learning process of students.
