Abstract
Objective. To comprehensively present the scopes, models, and methods of social work intervention in the fight against human trafficking. Methodology. An international literature review was conducted, covering publications from 2010 to 2020 using the PRISMA statement. Results. The document database consisted of 25 articles, with a predominance of mentions of community and group methods, as well as critical models. Social work interventions were identified in the areas of protection and assistance, prevention, research, and education. Conclusions. Social work intervention in the fight against human trafficking focuses on prevention and community empowerment, particularly for women. The need to include this topic in professional training and to increase knowledge production in Latin America is highlighted.
