Abstract
This article, derived from research presents the general results of the project Colors of the Imagined City, developed in the city of Tunja (Colombia). This study, proposed from a qualitative approach and under the analysis methodology of the city urban imaginary, raised a reading of the city from the perception that citizens have about their environment color. The research process was conducted from three instruments: survey, questionnaire and interviews, which allowed for an approach to citizens on three levels whose results led to the analysis of relationship citizen- city-color. This showed that urban imaginaries are also configured from visual perceptions such as color and that teir analysis reveals urban dynamics associated with the way in which citizens recognize the city, live it and appropriate it.
