Interfaces expandidas: conexoes críticas

Abstract

Regarding the new systems of mediation that integrate the technologies that penetrate in diverse surroundings and in society, it is advisable to speak of ample artistic and cultural practices that no longer are affected by the context, in their diverse shades. This text observes the creation of mechanisms by some projects that produce connections between the artist, the public and the presumed responsibility of the creation of shared spaces (public life), through which what can be called social interfaces based on reality (reality-based-interfaces). As the mediation becomes transparent and minimumly permeable, some works that arise in the scene of new media suggest an extended sense for the idea of “interfaces”, as viabilizating systems of communication, potentializing experiences of critical thought, and the use of devices that suggest confrontations of new alienation forms which arise “inbeded” in these technologies. Would those interfaces be the faces and challenges of an updated activism in the movable networks, on the basis of the locative systems and immersed in the plot of the city?

Diante de novos sistemas de mediação envolvendo tecnologias com penetração em vários ambientes e camadas sociais, tornase pertinente falar de práticas artísticas e culturais abrangentes, que se deixem afetar pelo contexto em sua diversidade de nuances. Este texto observa a criação de mecanismos por parte de determinados projetos que produzem conexões entre artista, público e a suposta responsabilidade de criação de espaços compartilháveis (vida pública), através do que pode ser chamado de interfaces sociais baseadas na realidade (reality-based-interfaces). Na medida em que tornam a mediação transparente, minimamente permeável, alguns trabalhos que emergem no cenário das novas mídias nos sugerem um sentido expandido para a idéia de ‘interfaces’, como sistemas viabilizadores de comunicação,
experiências de potencialização do pensamento crítico e do uso de dispositivos de forma a sugerir enfrentamentos diante de novas formas de alienação que surgem ‘embebidas’ nessas tecnologias. Seriam essas as faces e desafios de um ativismo atualizado às redes móveis, baseadas em sistemas locativos e imersos na trama da cidade?
