Abstract
This article presents the development of the experimental design project, Nature Ex-novo, as a process of researchcreation on the material and agonistic configuration of nature. That process advances first, analyzing the Atlas for the Physical and Political History of Chile by the French botanist Claudio Gay, and then discussing such analysis with attention to the work done by the German theoretician, Wolfgang Ernst on media archaeology, and the French philosopher and anthropologist Bruno Latour’s science and technology studies. Finally, the text seeks to offer a potential inquiry and cultural critique model which articulates aspects from the artistic creation and the experimentalism in design, aiming to find epistemic and political relations between objects and the culture-nature complex.
