Dinámicas geomorfológicas de Piedemonte y procesos de transformación de sitios arqueológicos en el Magdalena Medio Caldense.

Abstract

The context of the archaeological landscape is composed by different units which include, among others,  relief, vegetation covers, minerals and the imaginary constructed by different human groups who occupied a  region. In this article we propose an analysis of the influence geomorphodynamics and pedogenetics  processes have in the development and changes in the microgeomorphology and the strata of archeological  sites, defined as contextual landscape, which is the result of Phase 1 of the research program ¨Preservation  and Rescue of Archeological Sites Threatened by Geological Risks in the Colombian Central Range.¨ The  dynamics of the foothills of the Central Andes Range in the mid valley of the Magdalena River are analyzed,  as well as the manner in which they have transformed the landscape to the point that the archaeological  variables analysis needs new data for interpretation in regional areas.
