Abstract
Everyday aesthetics is a philosophical discipline that studies the aesthetic character of daily life, outside the realm of art. This article aims to investigate, in detail, a phenomenology of everyday aesthetics experienced in the things, events, or situations that appear in an individual's daily experiences and that provide them with feelings of happiness or well-being. To this end, the methodology used is a textual analysis of the literary work Moments of Unnoticed Happiness by Francesco Piccolo, and an examination of Thomas Leddy's theory, one of the most influential proposals in the conception of everyday aesthetics, in order to establish a phenomenological reference point for it. The results indicate the existence of a close relationship between everyday aesthetics and well-being, and show that wonder, imagination, observation, and reflection are decisive elements in the emergence of aesthetic experience in daily life. However, it is argued that the findings do not constitute a model to follow, but rather provide clues on how to put the theory of everyday aesthetics into practice. In this sense, further studies are needed to broaden the pragmatic panorama of the experience of everyday aesthetics.
