Abstract
Objective. To investigate the influence of family ties on the drug-addict subject of the foundation “Familia del Faro” (Family of the Lighthouse) located in the municipality of La Tebaida, Quindio. Methodology. To this end, the psychodynamic theory and some elements of the psychoanalytic theory have been considered, and the research also was conducted from a qualitative methodology with an hermeneutics paradigm giving the floor to the subject suffering because of his drug-addiction. Results. subjectivity of four residents of this foundation is analyzed and what they have to say about their own lives. Conclusion. It is concluded that at the relational level from childhood there is a conflict of these subjects with both, their father and their mother figures.
