Abstract: It is proposed here to analyze the process by which the social worker in everyday life determines his future conduct after considering several possible courses of action. With the term “action” human behavior is described as an ongoing process which is devised by the actor beforehand, this is to say it is based on a preconceived project. The term “act” is the result of this ongoing process, in other words, the action performed. To do so, it is necessary to start from the social phenomenology, proposed by Alfred Schütz, and from the motivational context experienced by the Social Worker in his/her daily practice.
