Abstract
This is an approximation to the principal themes of the work of Pierre Bourdieu, which tries to demonstrate how he applied them to the specific study of the social sciences. He will not be interpreted as a mere epistemologist, someone dedicated exclusively to reflecting on how it is possible to do science. This is because in his investigations on the social sciences and the academy he showed that nothing was forbidden for the investigator, not even his own and particular way of doing and being in the world. The latter, which is continuously seen in his texts, is on of the basic dimensions of his work.
