Abstract

This paper tries to examine the role played by imagination in the research about the properly human in accordance with the ethical-biological Aristotelian approach. Aiming to this purpose, I reconstruct the arguments that establish a linkage between sensation, imagination, memory, learning, reminiscence and deliberation, and thus, I suggest that what distinguishes Human beings from other animals cannot be understood without starting from those traits that are strictly biological.
