Abstract

This article addresses the discursive production regarding the sensory experiences associated with the use of cannabis in a youth social movement, the Cultivate Your Mind Collective, hereinafter referred to as CTM. In the process of resistance and anti-prohibitionist discursive production, this collective restructured the frames of action, thereby energizing processes of subjectivity production in resistance that involved recreational and pleasurable experiences. However, this political and subjective restructuring did not solely focus on the right to enjoyment but also placed care at its center, where concerns for others are recognized among the majority of its members. Ethical considerations related to care emerge practically in the collective's life. These discourses contribute to the production of subjectivities in resistance that critically reformulate prevailing modes of control and subjection.
