Abstract
The Latin American Journal of Family Studies, in its process of consolidation and strengthening as a recognized scientific publication in the field of family studies in Latin America, has been developing editorial practices according to the new national and international guidelines for its visibility and impact when addressing axes of scientific discussion and reflection articulated to problems that significantly influence families as well as their study and analysis from different disciplines and fields of knowledge. Therefore, this volume 11 (2) is the first topic we carried out, which was called “The family in contexts of international migration: debates, challenges and perspectives”, and includes national and international researchers who are experts in this area of knowledge, who bring theoretical, conceptual and methodological elements on family in international migration contexts, which incorporate emigration, immigration and return processes analyzed from countries of origin and destination such as Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Venezuela and Chile.
