Abstract

ABSTRACT

Extinction seems to be the final destiny of all species that have inhabited our planet in one form or another. This phenomenon, although negative by its obvious implications, has shown to be, in its course throughout the geological eras, the starting point for the survival of species. They are responsible for the birth of a new era of diversity and biological evolution on the planet.
