Abstract

Currently, at a global level, we observe low levels of compliance regarding physical activity, leading to a significant increase in the adoption of sedentary behaviors for extended periods of time. This trend represents a significant public health issue affecting 60% of the world’s population. In this context, the World Health Organization (WHO) has proposed a set of technical interventions framed within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at promoting physical activity. These interventions encompass measures such as environmental conservation promotion, innovation stimulation, and the utilization of digital solutions. Objective: Design and validate messages with persuasive modality in women participating in physical activity intervention at a Colombian University. Methodology: Message content validity with persuasive modality. Firstly, the content was designed according to the behavioral change processes of the Transtheoretical Model. Afterward, the content was validated by experts. Finally, the messages were sent to women who were part of an intervention in the framework of “AcTICvate en casa” during the year 2021 in the city of Manizales. Results: You obtain 24 validated messages in three lines related to behavioral theories for promoting physical activity. Conclusions: The message design and the validation of the table of contents through experts, support a positive relationship for changing sedentary behavior in women.
