Abstract
Given the high contagiousness, pathogenic and mutant capacity of Sars-Cov-2, and the lack of an effective vaccine or drug that can prevent or cure COVID-19, the only measures that to date have been shown to be effective are confinement and social distancing, massive testing of populations at high risk, antisepsis and disinfection of people, objects and spaces, and the active search for infected, suspects, asymptomatic patients and their close and casual contacts. These containment, prevention and control measures are part of the arsenal of unified actions of the State, society and health systems, to face the pandemic generated by the new coronavirus.
