Abstract
This essay intends, to make clear the meaning of the artist's metaphysics which Nietzsche proposes out of his youth work The birth of tragedy as well as of the interpretation of several passages from the Posthumous fragments and from the Gay science. What is new the artist's metaphysics lies in the development of the premise: art as affirmation of life and as appearance of appearance. This occurs from the artist's subjective originality which recreates the world because he lives it intensely. Art implies the transfiguration of life into infinite forms and under manifold
valuations which stand for the becoming of existence in a game between the transitory and the eternal.
