Abstract
In contemporary thought, philosophical discussion has found a limit in rethinking the emancipatory presuppositions of Enlightenment. In the mid-twentieth century the political program of modernity would have found itself deconstructed by the failure of the political projects that had emerged from the modern imaginations; this meant a certain blackout of the Age of Enlightenment and, in turn, a fall of thought into the drugs of politics. In the case of the philosophers who animated the debate of modernity and postmodernity, the discouragement affected both advocates and detractors of emancipatory impulses as “an unfinished project.” Indeed, while this article does not deny that the postmodern debate was important and may continue to be relevant, its arguments focus, rather, on the possibility of explaining that today the threat of a probable civilizational collapse comes from what Nick Land calls the Dark Enlightenment. The antidote, that is, the possibility of containing the neo-reactionary turn of the present is to be found in the postulates of a freudorepublican philosophy with the will to link the crisis of the worlds of life, with philosophy and a freudo-republican form-politics, whose most intense exponent is the Spanish philosopher José Luis Villacañas.
