La aplicación de la ley extranjera en Colombia

Abstract

The present article concisely shows the scarce development and the deficiency found in the Colombian legal system in regards to norms that regulate the application of other norms or laws of foreign legal systems. The latter, due to their function, must be applied in cases by mandate of the norms of the national private international law, hindering their application due to the ambiguities found in Article 188 of the Colombian Procedure Code.
