Abstract

The following research paper aims to analyze the transformations of private law around the plural family and against technologies of assisted reproduction in Colombia. It tries to resolve historical dilemmas between homosexuality and parenting, as well as the transformation of kinship, procreation, upbringing, and the family in the face of new genetic technologies and new models of plural family, from a historicalhermeneutical approach and through a case study, a route proposed to make evident the transformation of normative realities around affiliation and the registration of minors in our country. The article concludes reasoning on the socio-legal challenges arising from a reality like genetic homoparentality and the legal need to change to a concept of affiliation that fits these new needs.
