Abstract
The field of research in policies, and health systems has taken importance as instrument of evaluation and monitoring in the processes of implementation of the reform to the health sector in different countries in which they are taking place. In the present paper a review of their different concepts, their developments and the way in wich the research in systems and health policies is located in the field of public health as tool for making, informed decisions, focusing the research in systems in the macro and intra organizational level of the health system, wich object studies the combination of diverse, resources for the production of health services of quality and technological content, analize primary products of the system, that is the services, and order to, the research in policies to focus the macro and interorganizational level of the health system, investigatin the social polithcs and economic proceses that determine the adopted modalities for the social organized response, studying the determinants, the design, the implantation and the consequencies of the health policies.
