Abstract
The aim of this documentary review article is to identify and understand the psychological repercussions experienced by healthcare professionals facing stressful situations during the Covid-19 pandemic, exploring possible resilience strategies and self-referential perspectives regarding their experiences. The information was analyzed using a matrix consisting of 12 columns, and 50 rows, where the review articles related to the study were organized. The search utilized databases such as Scopus, Elsevier, Of Ciencia, and Google Scholar. The analysis categories included clinical aspects, mental health, resilience, and self-reference, framed within psychological dimensions. The predominant research approach was quantitative, with descriptive and narrative methodological perspectives. The reviewed studies reported the development of psychological pathologies such as anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, sleep quality issues, burnout, and Burnout Syndrome are reported. Regarding mental health, female professionals were found to experience greater psychological repercussions. Frontline professionals showed higher rates of post-traumatic stress. Self-reference and resilience were found to be interconnected within psychological processes. The study concludes with the importance of designing programs for professionals that enable selfreflection and environmental awareness, considering physical resources, support networks, ethics, commitment, and motivation as factors that promote resilience development and reduce psychological repercussions.
