Resumen
Por medio de una lectura rortyana de Peirce y Dewey, este artículo plantea el intento que lleva a cabo el pragmatismo de hacer compatible el relativismo, el falibilismo y la objetividad. A la teoría que los hace compatibles Dewey la denomina: teoría de la verdad como correspondencia en un sentido operativo. Ciertamente, el paso de la teoría correspondentista en sentido representacionista, a la teoría correspondentista en sentido operativo, exige una profunda revisión de los supuestos ontológicos y epistemológicos heredados de la modernidad. Dicha revisión, que trataré de esbozar, es un objetivo prioritario en la tradición pragmatista.
