Abstract
This work exposes the results of a study made with the palatability of eatable butterflies predate for some mantids that occur in the central region of Caldas, Colombia. It includes verifyed effects of toxicity of unpalatable butterflies eaten by them and a compilation of records on natural predation of this carnivorous insects.
