Abstract

In this paper we note the first capture of Spix's Disc-Winged Bat (Thyroptera tricolor), For Caldas departament, we describe its habitat. a forest patch at 1350 m. in the coffeegrowing area of Manizales. This bat seems to be uncommon in the region, and its measures are slightly in excess of previously reported values. The voucher specimen was deposited in the Museo de Historia Natural Universidad de Caldas (MHNUC).
