Abstract

In order to explore micromorphologic characters in Pecluma eurybasis var. villosa (Polypodiaceae), the sporangium development and its accompanying structures were observed, using optical microscopy (OM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The formation of a tapetum with a single layer of cells and non-clavate paraphyses with obtuse tips were identified as potentially important characters in the systematics of the genus.
