Resumen
Se registra por primera vez a Geastrum triplex para la micobiota colombiana a partir de basidiomas colectados en la vereda Santa Helena, municipio de Gachalá, departamento de Cundinamarca. Se aporta información sobre la distribución, ecología y sustrato de crecimiento de la especie; la cual es descrita e ilustrada. Por tanto, el género Geastrum queda representado en Colombia por cinco especies: G. mirabile; G. rufescens; G. saccatum; G. subiculosum y G. triplex.
