Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between dance and resistance. Part of the analysis starts with the works of Pina Bausch (Café Müller,The rite of spring), Marina Abramovic (Rhythm 10, Rhythm 0, Lips of Thomas), Regina José Galindo (Who can erase the traces?, Bitch, While, they continue free) as well as from personal experiences in the performing arts. This article allows locating a resistance reading that does not end in aesthetic event, but all of them go deep into the dimension of the political and cultural, taking war landscapes to their bodies, forcing to think of the importance of resisting from the body, from the performance, from dance in contexts of disappearance, active and located resistances, seeds generated from art that give meaning to their works.
