Abstract

Objective. To carry out a theoretical review on the current situation of inclusive education and family participation in schools as a guarantee of rights and social justice. Methodology. The bibliographic search was carried out in the Web of Science database. Results and conclusion. Social justice highlights the importance of the key elements in cooperation agreements between families and professionals, including professional competence, communication, respect, commitment, equity and trust together with a great feeling of solidarity. It is an ethical, political and legal imperative that takes priority in the field of social and educational policies. To speak of inclusion is to speak of justice and, it seems logical that, to build a distributive and honest society, it is necessary to develop educational models of family participation that help eradicate situations of social disadvantage.
