Abstract

The aim of this work is to give a preliminar list of the species of Rhopalocera which occurs in the summits of hilis, located in the western mountains range of Colombia, Caldas and Antioquia Provincies. Some hipotesis by SHIELDS (1967) made in mountains of USA were confirmed, based in the observations of territorial behavior from local species which occur here.
