Abstract
On March 3, 2010, the Venezuelan National Assembly enacted the Law for the Prohibition of Warlike Videogames and War Toys, an statute that bans the fabrication, importation, distribution, purchase, sell, rent and use of warlike videogames and war toys in the Republic of Venezuela and all of its geographic spaces. In order to prevent this initiative from repeating itself in other South American countries, this essay explores three key arguments that reflute the idea of implementing a statute with the same scope as the one implemented in Venezuela.
